Extraordinary projects demand equally extraordinary narratives. When SB\Design was invited to develop the institutional brochure for Rosewood São Paulo, the challenge was never simply to present a luxury hotel. The objective was to create a book capable of materializing the vision conceived by Alexandre Allard for the leading hospitality icon of Cidade Matarazzo, one of the most ambitious urban revitalization projects in recent São Paulo history. More than a sales material, the publication needed to convey culture, heritage, architecture, art, hospitality, and a new way of experiencing the city, where past and future coexist in perfect harmony.
Located within the Cidade Matarazzo complex, Rosewood São Paulo occupies the former Matarazzo Hospital, restored and integrated into one of Latin America's most sophisticated mixed-use proposals. Conceived by Alexandre Allard, the development brings together historical heritage, contemporary architecture, gastronomy, art, nature, ultra-luxury residences, and the first Rosewood hotel in South America. Translating this entire vision into a single publication required an editorial approach capable of communicating not only architectural or commercial attributes, but primarily the experience, culture, and identity that define Rosewood São Paulo.
SB\Design conceived a book that approaches an art publication far more than an institutional brochure. The narrative was structured to guide the reader through history, architecture, heritage, lifestyle, and the exclusive experience offered by Rosewood São Paulo, always contextualizing its relationship with Cidade Matarazzo. The editorial project privileges generous white space, refined typography, elegant reading rhythm, generous-scale photography, and carefully selected graphic finishes to reinforce the perception of exclusivity. Every page was designed to reflect the same level of sophistication present in the architecture, interiors, and hospitality of the development.
Beyond the complete development of the institutional brochure, SB\Design was also responsible for creating the visual identity of Rosewood São Paulo, developing the logo that came to represent the hotel at its launch. This integration between branding, editorial design, and architecture made it possible to build a consistent visual language between the brand and all its communication materials, reinforcing the international positioning conceived by Alexandre Allard for Rosewood São Paulo within Cidade Matarazzo.
The work developed by SB\Design represents one of its main specialties: transforming complex systems into clear, sophisticated, and memorable editorial experiences. In this project, the book ceased to be merely institutional material to become an extension of the Rosewood São Paulo brand itself. Every detail—from narrative structure to typographic hierarchy, from art direction to graphic finishes—was conceived to communicate the same standard of excellence found in one of the world's most exclusive hotels and to reinforce its position as an international reference in luxury hospitality.
More than presenting a hotel, this publication presents a vision of hospitality. A vision conceived by Alexandre Allard, materialized in Rosewood São Paulo and editorially translated by SB\Design into an object that communicates the essence of the development before the reader even finishes the first page. By transforming architecture, heritage, branding, and storytelling into a single editorial experience, SB\Design created a book worthy of the importance of Rosewood São Paulo and Cidade Matarazzo, consolidating design as a fundamental part in building one of the most emblematic brands in contemporary hospitality.
