Since its opening in 1966, Shopping Iguatemi São Paulo has become an absolute benchmark in Brazilian luxury retail. Recognized for bringing together some of the main national and international brands in fashion, jewelry, beauty, gastronomy and lifestyle, Iguatemi has built a unique relationship between curation, architecture and shopping experience, becoming much more than a shopping center: one of the main symbols of premium consumption in Latin America. The creation of Iguatemi 365 represented a decisive step in this trajectory by bringing this exclusive curation to the digital environment. The challenge was not merely developing a shopping app, but transporting to the smartphone all the atmosphere, service and sophistication that made Iguatemi one of the most respected retail brands in Brazil.
It was in this context that Sandro Bianco, through SB\Design, was invited by 55/Brands, under the direction of Hélio Rosas, to participate in the conception of the Iguatemi 365 app. The overall strategy of the project was conducted by 55/Brands in partnership with the client, while SB\Design took responsibility for building the digital experience, organizing the entire information architecture, navigation flows, content hierarchy and complete interface prototyping in Figma. Far beyond screen design, the work consisted of transforming hundreds of brands, thousands of products and different shopping journeys into an intuitive, elegant experience coherent with Iguatemi's premium positioning. The interface was developed to enhance editorial content, facilitate product discovery, simplify filters and navigation and provide a shopping experience compatible with the level of demand from the shopping's audience. The project also featured the special participation of illustrator Felipe Jardim, a Brazilian artist internationally recognized for his illustrations published in outlets such as The New Yorker, The New York Times, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar and various other international publications. His exclusive illustrations helped build an authorial visual identity for the app, bringing the digital universe closer to the editorial language characteristic of Iguatemi and adding personality to the onboarding experience and communication.
For SB\Design, this project represents one of the most relevant works in UX Design, UI Design and mobile e-commerce developed throughout Sandro Bianco's trajectory. The experience gained in organizing large digital ecosystems made it possible to transform an environment of high commercial complexity into a simple, sophisticated and highly functional interface. More than developing a shopping app, the project demonstrates SB\Design's ability to translate luxury brands into the digital universe, integrating branding, information architecture, user experience and interface design into platforms prepared to scale. In a scenario where premium e-commerce demands increasingly personalized experiences, Iguatemi 365 evidences Sandro Bianco's expertise in creating apps and e-commerce platforms capable of uniting technology, content and art direction in digital experiences aligned with the highest international references in luxury retail.
