Founded in 2003 by Sergio Fix, TETO built a singular trajectory in Brazilian furniture design over more than two decades. The company was born with a contemporary design proposal and found in the healthcare sector a territory that would profoundly transform its operations. The partnership with Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein led TETO to study the specific needs of the hospital environment and develop products capable of simultaneously addressing ergonomics, durability, hygiene, comfort and livability. This experience consolidated a specialization that became one of the brand's most important characteristics, later expanded to other contexts of use, such as collaborative, corporate, restaurant, hospitality and hotel environments.
The relationship between Sergio Fix, TETO, Sandro Bianco and SB\Design stems precisely from this understanding of design as an instrument for solving problems. In developing the brand's new digital experience, Sandro Bianco and SB\Design found a company with over twenty years of accumulated knowledge, different product families, applications, specifications and audiences. The challenge was not simply to create a new website, but to transform all this complexity into a clear, contemporary digital structure capable of communicating the intelligence behind the products. The work involved UX/UI design, information architecture, art direction and navigation strategy, reorganizing content and building an experience capable of engaging architects, specifiers, hospitals, hotels, companies, restaurants and TETO's clients.
One of the project's main decisions was to abandon the traditional logic of a digital catalog and place people and the experience of environments at the center of communication. Rather than presenting only isolated furniture, the website shows people working, conversing, waiting, resting, reading or sharing spaces. Armchairs, sofas, tables, chairs and collaborative systems are now presented within the contexts for which they were designed. This approach is especially relevant in the hospital and hospitality sectors, where a piece of furniture must go far beyond aesthetics. A hospital armchair, a sofa bed for an accompanying person, or a chair designed for long waiting periods must respond to specific physical, technical and emotional needs. It is in this territory between design, ergonomics, comfort and human experience that TETO has built an important part of its differentiation.
SB\Design, under the creative direction of Sandro Bianco, translated this diversity into an organized digital system. The information architecture allows navigation through the brand's different universes and deepens research by product categories and typologies, while the interface alternates large editorial images with extremely objective product pages. The visual language is deliberately understated: reduced menus, precise typography, large breathing areas and a predominantly neutral structure allow environments, people and furniture to be protagonists. The result creates two complementary levels of reading. First, the visitor understands the context and atmosphere of use; then, finds the necessary information to know and specify each product.
More than redesigning a website, Sandro Bianco and SB\Design digitally organized the way TETO presents its own intelligence. The project transforms a complex structure of products, applications, audiences and information into a simple-to-navigate experience prepared to continue growing alongside the company. It is also a direct example of a recurring characteristic of SB\Design's work: translating complex systems into coherent design systems. The knowledge built by Sergio Fix and TETO over more than two decades finds, thus, a digital platform capable of presenting not just what the company manufactures, but primarily its way of thinking about furniture and its relationship with people.
