SB\Design brings branding and design to the real estate market. The studio creates brands, publications, digital experiences and signage for developers and builders, high-end residential and commercial developments, hospitality and mixed-use projects, architecture practices, and furniture and interior brands. Over a career of more than 30 years as a designer, Sandro Bianco, who directs the studio, has worked on many real estate projects, among them the first website of Hotel Fasano in São Paulo, in 2003.
A development brings many players together: development, construction, architecture, interiors, landscaping, sales and agencies. It also goes through many stages, from the land to the launch, from sales to construction, from handover to the daily life of those who live or stay there. Design has to keep one language across all of them, from the name of the development to the sign in the garage.
Projects include Astéri, by Viewco; Blend 468, by Sequóia Properties; Reserva Vila Rica and The Golf Village, by Crego Painceira; Alma Mater Ipiranga, by Alfa Realty; SAO, by SKR with Cyrela; Santa Pazienza Country, by the Victor Malzoni family; Rosewood São Paulo, in Cidade Matarazzo; and B Hotel Brasília.
Brand and website for developers and buildersA developer's brand has to live alongside the brand of each development. It signs the launch, organizes the portfolio and sustains the trust of people buying off-plan.In 2015, SB\Design redesigned the website of the builder SKR, which presents developments such as Domna, Appia, Tom 102 and Unitt. In 2013, it created a brand, stationery and responsive website concept for Westbank, a Canadian developer, with the portfolio organized by type: residential, office, hotel, rental and retail. Naming and visual identity for real estate developmentsIn real estate branding, the name and the identity are a development's first decision, and they carry through every other one: the sales book, the website, the sales gallery, the construction hoarding, the façade and the signage. At B Hotel Brasília, SB\Design created the name, the brand strategy and the visual identity, in partnership with Roberto Cipolla. The monogram grew out of Isay Weinfeld's architecture and became part of the façade and the signage. For Rosewood São Paulo, the studio designed the logotype used at the hotel's launch. Sales books and presentation booksIn high-end and luxury developments, the sales book is often the buyer's first physical contact with the project. It has to organize a great deal of technical information without losing its reading rhythm. For Santa Pazienza Country, in Itatiba, SB\Design created a presentation book in an edition of 150 copies, bound in leather, for the families invited before sales began. The book brings together the masterplan, landscaping, environmental restoration and the golf course by Tom Fazio. For Rosewood São Paulo, the institutional brochure tells the history, architecture and experience of the hotel within Cidade Matarazzo, in the language of an art book. Websites and landing pages for real estate launchesA development's website works throughout the sales cycle. It presents the project, organizes floor plans, location and key features, supports the broker and turns interest into contact.SB\Design designed the websites of Astéri, by Viewco, with architecture by Aflalo/Gasperini; Blend 468, by Sequóia Properties with R.Yazbek; and SAO, by SKR with Cyrela, with architecture by SPBR. In 2014, it designed the website of RB12, an office building by Natekko with architecture by Triptyque, in Rio de Janeiro. It also created the landing pages for Reserva Vila Rica, in Santos, and The Golf Village, in Riviera de São Lourenço, both by Crego Painceira, and for Alma Mater Ipiranga, by Alfa Realty, which turns a former novitiate from the 1920s into 51 residences. Most of these projects were done with the agency ONE Creative. Architecture, interiors and landscapingEvery development is also a presentation of the work of architects, interior designers and landscape architects, and design has to give each of them its place. The developments presented by SB\Design bring together architecture by Isay Weinfeld, Aflalo/Gasperini, Perkins&Will, SPBR, Triptyque, RADDAR and Studio Mariana Crego. They also bring together interiors by Suíte Arquitetos and Superlimão Studio, and landscaping by Faisal Paisagismo, Rodrigo Oliveira, VITA Planning and Landscape Architecture, and Ricardo and Alessandra Cardim. The studio also designs the presence of the practices themselves: it created Isay Weinfeld's first website, around 2003, and the website of AMZ Arquitetos. And it works for furniture and interior brands that furnish these spaces, such as Ornare, Etel, Claudia Moreira Salles, Patio Brasil and Teto. Hospitality and mixed useHotels and mixed-use complexes combine hospitality, residences, dining, art and retail, and they call for a brand that works across all of these layers. In 2003, Sandro Bianco designed the first website of Hotel Fasano in São Paulo. For Rosewood São Paulo, in the Cidade Matarazzo complex conceived by Alexandre Allard, SB\Design created the institutional brochure and the launch logotype. It also produced the book and the website for Made by… Feito por Brasileiros, the 2014 art occupation that preceded Cidade Matarazzo. At B Hotel Brasília, it signed the name, the identity and the signage. Signage, wayfinding, construction and life in the developmentAt B Hotel Brasília, SB\Design developed the entire interior and exterior signage system, from the façade to the guest rooms. In 2004, Sandro Bianco took part in the signage project for the 26th São Paulo Biennial, as part of the Bookmark Brand team. The system guided some 917,000 visitors through the 30,000 m² of Oscar Niemeyer's pavilion. The same wayfinding method serves a residential or commercial development: reading routes, decision points and architecture to organize entrances, towers, floors, garages and common areas. The identity can also accompany construction, on the hoardings, and reach residents' daily lives, in resident apps. How to startWork can begin before the launch, with the name and the identity, or with a specific need: the developer's brand, a sales book, a website, a landing page or the signage. The scope depends on the stage of the development and on the teams involved, such as development, architecture, agency and sales. SB\Design works directly with developers and also alongside agencies. To talk about a real estate development, get in touch with SB\Design.
